I realized the other day how happy Rainbow Sprinkles make me. They're so small and unspecial yet they instill in me so much joy. Sometimes the smallest things are the most important and affect people the most. I think this is where happiness can be found- in all the little things. People ignore these things often. They don't let themselves get happy over things like a pretty flower or a really cool feeling blanket. They save their excitement for huge things like winning the lotto or getting a raise or birthday presents or the fourth of july (or the 14th for all the french ppl). They wait for serendipities and thus rarely experience true jubilation. If they let themselves be silly or childish and allow themselves to take delight in simpler pleasures like the taste of cotton candy, the way water reflects light, or the rainbow sprinkles on their ice cream they would feel elation so much more often. Just because something is mundane doesn't mean it isn't special.
